No Daw, It's Old School Bangers! 〰️

This is a cosmic masterpiece by the French band "Space" that is being appreciated more than ever. This song is Space Disco with a touch of Hi-NRG and 70s Eurodisco, and it is widely considered their best work.

The band was founded in 1977 by Didier Marouani, one of the pioneers of electronic music, Roland Romanelli and Jannick Top.

Magic Fly is a real experience for the listener, and it is a smooth, galactic drift with a touch of Balearic. The sound design and synthesis of this piece is a work of art.

The song was composed in the same apartment as "Oxygene"by Jean Michel Jarre in 1976.

Being good mates at the time, Didier took Jarre's apartment and created this masterpiece on a Korg synthesizer, Arp Odyssey, and a Sequential Circuits Prophet 5.

What is most impressive is the song's atmosphere, which has the structure built around the main lead synth. It has a color similar to the lead melody of the song "Bubble Sex" by the Danish producer Tommy Seebach which was also released in 1977.

It creates a unique space for the listener, and the lead is so addictive that you'll be whistling it all the time after hearing it.

There are a lot of sound layers in this piece that make it unique. Fx's, synth glides, brasses, and all other soundscapes are so well produced that they give a particular dimension to the song.

This piece doesn't know the time, it is one of the essential songs of Space Disco, and it has been sampled, edited, and used in many compilations and DJ sets throughout the years.

The French Foreign Trade Minister Andre Rossi awarded Didier Marouani for the golden records for creating one of the biggest successes in the French record industry.

Magic Fly has been released almost in every corner of the world. Space disco made it from western to eastern countries, from France and Europe to the US and Mexico, Indonesia, China, and South Africa...

It's a real blast from the past, a disco track to which you cannot be indifferent.

The band Space released four albums and have sold over 10 million record copies before disbanding in 1981.

After the crush of Disco, at the beginning of the '80s, this track was almost forgotten, but due to Italo and Space Disco enthusiasts mostly from The Hague (Nederlands), this one is brought to shine again. It's such a good piece of music that people are listening to it now, and it will be listening to it for decades to come.

The band released "Best Of" and "Remixes" in 2009 on NANG Records.
